Invest in Black healing. Support community-rooted spiritual care.

The Black Altar is a cultural healing initiative that offers free, accessible, and spiritually grounded care for Black communities in Seattle. Through sound baths, grief and joy circles, tarot, astrology, and community rituals, we provide sacred spaces where participants experience rest, reflection, and restoration—often for the first time in a public setting.

Our work is rooted in ancestral traditions and guided by the belief that wellness is a public good. We focus on Black residents of all genders, generations, and spiritual paths, especially those who have faced systemic barriers to healing, care, and cultural belonging. Our offerings are trauma-informed, culturally specific, and led by trusted Black practitioners.

We are actively seeking partners and funders who share our commitment to racial equity, community wellness, and culturally grounded care. Your support directly sustains:

  • Free healing services for Black residents in Seattle
  • Paid opportunities for BIPOC healers, artists, and spiritual workers
  • Public rituals that build collective resilience and cultural pride
  • Creative infrastructure that honors rest, ritual, and interdependence

We welcome partnership from government agencies, philanthropic institutions, wellness advocates, and cultural funders who understand that true care must be rooted in culture, community, and trust.
